Because ruling the world includes snack duty.
Because ruling the world includes snack duty.
Hi, I’m Crystal: PhD, PR strategist, Mom of 5 and the go-to coordinator of chaos in both the boardroom and the house. As a PR professional and PhD, I’ve helped shape the narratives of Fortune 500 companies across the nation — but nothing compares to negotiating with a toddler at bedtime or leading a household while still chasing personal goals.
After years of juggling strategy decks along with snack duties, I’ve realized that moms don’t just manage the chaos — we lead the helm of trying to wrangle it. Both professionally and personally, we’re setting visions, building teams (hi, family), managing crises (tween meltdowns, anyone?) and showing up every day like the boss women we are — even when we’re running on no sleep and not enough caffeine.
If this sounds familiar, keep reading.
The Mother in Chief was born in the chaos between conference calls and school pickups, when I realized the hardest, most important leadership role I’ve ever held is the one I never formally trained for: being a mom.
This platform is inspired by every woman who has ever whispered, “How am I supposed to do it all?” and kept going anyway. Between conference calls and spreadsheets to sippy cups and school pickups, we realized moms aren’t just holding it together – we’re running the show.
This space is for the women leading both boardrooms and bedtime routines, with humor, heart and an extra shot of caffeine.
We’re redefining what leadership looks like for modern mothers — showing that strength can come with stretch marks, strategy can happen in sweatpants and success isn’t about doing it all, but doing what matters.
The Mother in Chief is a movement to elevate the voices of women leading in every arena —from boardrooms to playrooms — through honest stories, smart resources and a community that gets it. My vision is to empower moms to own their power, honor their limits and laugh through the mess.
Whether you're a corporate executive, entrepreneur or stay-at-home mom, The Mother in Chief is your go-to resource for inspiration, tools to help along the way and a hearty dose of humor.
